	SHENANIGANS BENEFIT & RIDE. In 2024, the annual event to benefit the [[DUBUQUE VETERANS' FREEDOM CENTER]] was in its eleventh year. More than fifty motorcycles and cars with dozens of spectators gathered off U. S. 52 at Eichman's Bar and Grill to support the event originally started by Gail and Jerry Shenanigan, the former owners of [[~~SHENANIGANS~~ PUB]] in northern Dubuque. The motivation to celebrate the veterans' role to our country has changed little since the "veterans' center' was first held in Jim Wagner's garage. Mental and physical health coming from gathering with others who had some of the same experiences has been and and continues to be goal of the Center and those who support it.
