	SEEGER, Ignatz. (Switzerland, Feb. 14, 1807--Dubuque, IA, Oct. 4, 1884). Seeger emigrated to America in December, 1849 and came to Dubuque in May 1851. The following year he entered the brewing business. In 1853 his brewery along South Locust burned down. He rebuilt it, but when completed, the arches were not strong enough, and the building collapsed.
