	SAINT JOSEPH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT. Located near Saint Joseph of the Prairie Church, the school was 1.25 miles south of the church on the same side of St. Joe's Prairie Road. The district was closed and the district consolidated with the [[DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT]] during the 1963-1964 school year. It was one of five districts that merged with Dubuque that year when the board of the Dubuque district set aside its limitation on the number of mergers it would accept in one year.
