McCarron died of cancer on October 24, 1994 and also donated her body to medical research. Her cremated remains were buried in Block 1 of Oakland Cemetery, in Iowa City, Iowa, on August 30, 1995. 	ROBERT A. MCCARRON. The 1941 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed 928 Mt. Loretta.		ROBERT A. MCCARRON. (Dubuque, IA, July 27, 1900--Dubuque, IA, July 1, 1977) McCarron was born in a house on the east side of Bryant Street. He did live on Curtis Street, but lost the house and moved his family to 928 Mt. Loretta in the late 1930s or early 1940s, where he lived until he died in 1977. He was married to Julia C. McCarron (Wolfe) who was born on Jan 23, 1908, and died on October 24, 1994. Robert A . McCarron And Julia C. McCarron had seven children, Constance, Robert, Daniel, Michael, Therese, Hugh, and Kevin.

			Robert A. McCarron had some brief art education at the Chicago Art Institute and did oil and water color paintings, including many landscapes. He decorated church interiors in the Midwest, as well as painting homes, and painting signs. [[WALTER, Joseph\|Joseph WALTER]] was a friend, teacher, and mentor. Joseph Walter also painted Robert A. McCarron's portrait, when he was a young man.

			Michael McCarron owns three water color paintings done by my grandfather, as well as a sign he painted for the [[DUBUQUE PACKING COMPANY]], showing insurance payments for the loss of various parts of fingers and hands that can occur while cutting meat. Kevin McCarron owns two paintings done by Joe Walter that include a portrait of my grandfather as well as a small still life of a bowl of grapes, as well as many paintings done by Robert A. McCarron.
