Renovations started immediately. The renovation of the dormitory building into the Springs Building was completed first. In August 2002, renovations of the chapel started to transform it into Rafters restaurant. The area which had once held the altar became an elevated dining area. The theatre in the lower level was completely renovated and became known as the Bell Tower Theater and Event Center.
