			In the fall of 1922 the Prescott Parent-Teacher Association (P.T.A.) was founded with one of its primary goals the education of parents for the work of training and educating their children. An important part of each meeting was given to lectures given by doctors, nurses, and educators. Beginning in 1924 the organization supplied milk for the undernourished. It also maintained a clothing exchange where outgrown clothing was collected, repaired, cleaned and distributed to the needy. Contributions in support of the open window program were given frequently as well as support for the Junior Red Cross drives, sale of health seals for the [[DUBUQUE VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION]], and the Forget-Me-Not drive. The P.T.A. regularly supplied the school with magazines and books and supplied support for building a larger playground for the students. In 1928 the association successfully worked to defeat an effort to sell part of the school's property. (5)

(1) Goals of the school included having a greater percentage of students meet or exceed their target goals in reading, math and science on the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests.
