	PIUS BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION. Pius Benevolent Association composed of Germans identified with [[~~SAINT~~ MARY'S CHURCH]] filed its articles of incorporation on the January 28, 1858. 	The objects of the Association including caring for the sick and burying the dead was not limited to members. The initiation fee was fixed at from $5 to $12, according to the age of the applicant. Meetings were held monthly, on the second Monday, in St. Mary's School.
