	PIONEER SAVINGS BANK AND TRUST COMPANY. Believing that their business was being hurt by anti-German feelings during [[WORLD WAR I]], [[GERMAN SAVINGS BANK]] renamed itself the Pioneer Savings Bank and Trust Company in 1918. Less than six years later, Consolidated National closed, a victim of the ~~Great Depression~~.		On November 9, 1926 Pioneer Trust and Savings Bank merged with the [[CONSOLIDATED NATIONAL BANK]]. On January 1, 1927, the business records and employees of Pioneer moved to the bank offices of Consolidated at Main and Sixth [[STREETS]].
