Failor suggested that the event would help correct the public image and make motorcycle riders aware of their responsibilities. Many complaints concerning motorcycles involved traffic violations often committed by automobile drivers but ignored. This would include not making a complete stop at a stop sign. Complaints were regularly received about the noise of motorcycles which police officials suggested could be avoided.
