Leibold was very active with the "Right to Life Organization" and participated in numerous pickets against Planned Parenthood in the Dubuque area.		He was a member of St. Mary's Parish, its Holy Name Society, the Noon Optimist Club since 1961, East Dubuque Knights of Columbus-Council # 7527 and the East Dubuque Zoning Commission. Leibold was very active with the "Right to Life Organization" and participated in numerous pickets against Planned Parenthood in the Dubuque area.

He built St. Mary's Apartments for the Elderly and managed it for thirty years. He enjoyed flying his Cessna off his farm to show properties and for aerial photography.		Leibold was a realtor from 1960 until his retirement in 2008, concentrating on farm and commercial sales and development in Dubuque, East Dubuque, around Iowa and Minnesota.
