She worked for many years at Auto Glass Specialists and later at Auto Glass Center, both in Dubuque.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sally was deeply involved in the life of First Congregational UCC of Dubuque where she taught Sunday school and confirmation classes for many years. She served terms as moderator and vice-moderator of the church board, chairperson of the Board of Christian Education for six years, and as chairperson of the stewardship committee for six years. She volunteered as a Stephen Minister for a number of years and served as president of the UCC Women&amp;#039;s group for a time. She was a skilled and enthusiastic member of the Chancel Bell Choir from its inception 25 years ago.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sally supported her sons in their Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts careers as a Cub Scout den mother and Troop Committee member for Troop 70 for many years. She also served as Lodge Advisor to the Northeast Iowa Council of Boy Scouts of America Order of the Arrow Timmeu Lodge 74. The Northeast Iowa Council of the BSA recognized her long support with their Founder&amp;#039;s Award in 2007, and the Boy Scouts of America presented her with the &amp;quot;Silver Beaver&amp;quot; award for dedication and service the same year. She and Owen provided long and dedicated service to Camp C. S. Klaus, helping to extensively improve camp facilities and assisting in camp activities and operations for many years.&lt;br /&gt;
