New page

KATCHA KOO. An amateur theatrical production stated at the [[GRAND OPERA HOUSE]] on November 24 and 25, 1919, the show was directed by the Rogers Production Company and produced by the Immaculate Conception alumnae.

Involving a estimated 250 local residents, the production was called the "closest to a professional production of its kind ever attempted in Dubuque. Elaborate costumes, scenery, and twenty dancing groups were prepared to accompany the oriental musical comedy. The program had been produced over 1,000 times across the United States with forty being shown at about the same time as the one locally.
