He was inducted into the Kiwanis Fast Pitch Hall of Fame in 1991 and the [[DUBUQUE FAST PITCH HALL OF FAME]] in 1998. He also enjoyed bowling, throwing horseshoes, fishing, and was a lifelong Yankees fan. He also enjoyed nights spent at Rhody’s and time spent at Charlie and Blonde’s cottage in East Dubuque. Above all though, he loved to spend time with family and friends. He and Anita spent over 25 years camping at Leisure Lake, they also enjoyed family vacations to Minnesota.
