The next project of the Finley Health Foundation, the "Images Through Innovation," was to focus on breast health, renovating the radiology department and providing advanced 3-D mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy equipment. He to pursue an entrepreneurial venture “that will keep him rooted in the Dubuque community.” Wolbers would assist with the transition to a new president until the end of August and beyond, if needed.

			Wolbers worked at the hospital as its chief operating officer from 2008 until 2015. While in the position, Wolbers helped the hospital secure a certificate of need for a cardiac catheterization lab and led a $42 million expansion to replace the emergency department and operating room and consolidate cardiac services.

According to Becker's press release, UnityPoint was the only health care system in Iowa and Wisconsin to be named to the 2023 list and one of only a handful of health systems in Illinois to be included. (78)		With the relocation in October, 2022 of Dr. Catherine Miller, formerly an assistant professor at the University of California-San Francisco, Dubuque residents would have access, missing for decades, to a local neurosurgeon. Miller's move to Dubuque filled a long-standing need for residents having brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerve conditions. Her clinic would focus on spinal conditions and treatment, specifically minimally invasive spine surgery. She would also serve on-call in the emergency room. Prior to her arrival, patients needed to travel to the Quad Cities, Iowa City, or Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for medical care. (77)

			Virtual care offerings to patients were increased in 2022 by the addition of a SmartExam option. Launched across Iowa by UnityPoint, allows patients to answer questions and obtain a treatment plan for less serious medical conditions. Requirements included patients had to be 18 years of age or older and payment of a $30 fee. Providers had a list of more than 130 common 'low-acuity' diagnoses. After reviewing the answers provided to the patient, a provider would develop a treatment plan and send prescriptions to the patient's pharmacy. UnityPoint also offered Virtual Urgent Care which allowed a patient to need with a provider using a video chat. Such a program was also provided by other area health care providers. (78)

			In March, 2023 UnityPoint was, for the second consecutive year, recognized as one of the top places to work in health care in the United States. Becker's Healthcare included UnityPoint on its 2023 list of "150 Places to Work in Healthcare."
