	CAIN'S GROVE. In 1892 this park was located at the corner of South Dodge and Wilde [[STREETS]]. It was also near the terminus of the [[DUBUQUE ELECTRIC RAILWAY, LIGHT AND POWER COMPANY]] line. (1) A "Public Lawn Party" was scheduled for the evening of June 12, 1894 with music provided by Quinn's Band. (2) The park was also the scene of such activity as "the married ladies' race" at the Foresters' picnic on July 4, 1894. The W. L. Whelan, a grocer, offered a sack of flour to the winner.
