In 1997, he was inducted into the Loras College National Catholic Basketball Hall of Fame for his work on the tournament.  In 2009, he was named, along with his wife, outstanding volunteer fundraisers for the Tri-State Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  Rudy donated many gallons of blood over the years giving every three months.&lt;br /&gt;
