He played briefly in the minors. He was a member of the Lawton Giants of the Sooner State League in 1950 and hit .274/.398/.411 with 15 runs and 14 walks in 21 games. He fielded .915 in the outfield. &lt;br /&gt;

Following his baseball days, he was a mailman for many years. &lt;br /&gt;
