[[Image:eball.jpg|left|thumb|250px|]]BALL, Eileen. (Dubuque, IA, Nov. 6, 1923--Dubuque, IA, Sept. 29, 2015) The former Eileen Susan Kremer, was the daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Thoeni) Kremer. She graduated from [[DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL]] in 1942. Eileen was married to Eldon Ball September 9, 1944 at [[IMMANUEL CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST]] and together they celebrated 64 happy years of marriage. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2008.

Eileen was employed by the [[DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT]] for twenty years as a secretary at Bryant and Hoover elementary schools before retiring in 1986. Everyone had their favorite "Mrs. Ball" story, but each yarn shared the common good-natured, easy to laugh, and quick to help characteristic of a uniquely pleasant and very capable "first face" you met at school. She was an Avon representative for many years.

Eileen was an active, long time member of Immanuel Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a past member of the Diaconate and Mission boards and taught Sunday School for many years. Eileen was also on the Memorial committee for several years.

Eileen loved [[EUCHRE]] games with the children and grandchildren, bowling and played in the Guys and Gals and Retired Friday groups for several years. She also loved the Hawkeyes, Cubs, and her dog, Molly, whom she enjoyed taking for walks. Other enjoyments of hers were meeting for the Class of '42 luncheons, Women's Fellowship, Hospice Grief Support group, and the Lifetime Center exercise group.
