	AUGE, Thomas E. (Fort Madison, IA, Sept. 13, 1923--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 13, 2002). Auge graduated from St. Ambrose College in 1947 and received a Master of History from St. Louis University in 1949. He married Theresa Moffitt in 1955 who joined him in Paris where he studied at the Sorbonne as a Fulbright scholar. He completed a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1957.
