(Dubuque, IA, Dec. 29, 1923--Dubuque, IA, Sept. 25, 2013) The son of Frank and Ida (Dunkley) Fincel, Frank graduated from [[LORAS ACADEMY]] and served as a lieutenant in the Army during [[WORLD WAR II]], with most of his service occurring in Europe. 			During the week beginning August 9, 2026 the local branches of MidWestOne began transitioning to [[NICOLET BANK]]. The move was the final step after Nicolet Bankshares, Inc. based in Green Bay, Wisconsin purchased MidWestOne in February, 2026. News at the time mentioned that the biggest changes customers might notice included the interest rate offered on checking and savings accounts and the ability of customers to be issued a debit card inside the branch bank rather than needing to do so by mail. Established twenty-five years ago, Nicolet Bankshares merged with Midwest One in an all-stock deal valued at $864 million. MidWestOne's $6 billion in assets combined with Nicolet's $9 billion resulted in a company with $15 billion in assets, $11 billion in loans, and $13 billion in deposits.
