All activities are ADA accessible. There is an indoor cottage with classrooms and event space and event space. A water-based activity center included a Snail Trail Plaza.		The Gardens include over 6,000 individual plants which have attracted wildlife. 	Hours of work went into the renovation of the organization's offices and gift shop during the winter of 2015. These improvements including the replacement of all walls, construction of wooden shelving for merchandise, a new beverage bar, and addition of a space for a dressing room during weddings were unveiled to the public in the spring of 2016. This was the third renovation of the old barn since the building and a few acres were gifted to the city in 1980. 	Construction of their single track trolley preceded the building of trails and pathways on the park property. Since the line was a single track, switches like those on the [[FOURTH STREET ELEVATOR]] were used. The line would bow out on both sides creating a two-track system that allowed outgoing and returning cars to pass. Reaching out Couler Valley (now Highway 52 North), the line required the construction of eleven bridges. The name Allen and Swiney chose for their completed project was "Stewart Park," to honor William G. Stewart~~. The first began as a trickle on July 14, 1850, when twenty pioneers - six men and fourteen women - were organized into the [[FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH]]. The other, a small spring, started to flow on August 26, 1855 when seventeen persons - seven men and ten women - were formed into a [[SECOND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH]]. 	Welter visited Dubuque in 1901 to see his ill mother. At the time the foreman and stockholder of the Carroll B. ~~gold~~ mine located twelve miles from Baker City, Oregon, he brought with him some ore. Visiting [[A. R. KNIGHTS AND COMPANY]], he had a ring made for his sister, Miss Ida Welter. (1) According to an article in the [[LUXEMBURGER GAZETTE]], Mathias also invested in shares of other gold mines in the Sumpter area. He sold those shares for $10,000.
